| tao: credz for the win32 sndh-player! yerz: acually i have experienced the same thing with my 030 falcon, and i believe that norman had some similar problem. you could perhaps see if he has found a cure. by accident i found that as long as my midi gear are attached to the atari interface the ym- chip plays beautifully. don't ask me why... these machines seem to have quite some personality ;) good luck! |

| Hmmmm... Yes, we were thinking about the amplifier-possibility. Although I connected the comp's sound to monitor of C64 and I could swear that sound was still distorted. And more accurately: when only one chnl is playin' - everything seems to be OK. But when the second one enters - appeares distortions... Hmmm..... Anyway I will make more tests. Thanx. | yerz: sounds weird with your st.. maybe you have just to high sound input to the amplifier? try to set down st output volume with some program (xcontrol.acc e.g.) and test then.. |

| Frazer: sounds like the YM2149 is working. if we assume that there is only a few components on the motherboard that could be causing the problem. What is your machine - is it an STe? Tao: Thanks, thats totally useful and cool |

| check this out: we have done an sndh-player for windows. www.creamhq.de ... and you can now also find all songs from the ym rockerz in sndh-format. check out the "music"-section on this site.. |
