Don't know how about Gareth, but I was talking of tribute.
And - of course - I don't mean any 'copying' or sommit. No.
I was rather thinking about some new and progressive versions, on Your typical hight level; some better versions of original songs (You know, now people know much more about composing chiptunes than 12 years ago or more :) ).

We thought about a covered music disc aswell... but then AY riders already did such a thing and we don't wanna do the same ;)

a theme is a nice idea i think.

in general i like the concept of some kind of covers release. Frazers suggestion of a tribute is also cool. especially as i am a big david wittacker fan... but i also think that maybe the concept should not be too rigid and should be more higher level to allow creativity.

but whatever the decsison i would of course try and make a track, and hopefully its good enough for the disc.

i will try and think of a cool concept idea over the next few days.

Tao: Sounds like fun, a Rockerzdemo with a theme. One idea would be to make some kind of tribute to some well-deserved musik maker. Preferably someone who hasn't got the attention he deserves, like for instance David Whittaker. Could be quite nice to hear some of his old game-tunes with the better sounds that are now possible. Of course there are many other musicdudes that would fit into this topic. Any suggestions you all?

be topic-related and you have the chance to decide what it will be.
before we'll have a final survey, let's collect some ideas of possible topics. so if
you want us to compose lovesongs, coversongs or whatever, post it here...

if desired and <u>only</u> with rockerz permission, i can make those long awaited mp3 files and upload, so everybody can download..
but i'm rather fucking bad when it comes to mastering.. i'd probably just record (from atari out to pc) then normalize and encode..
just let ma know if this is nec- or unnecessary! it would be a pleassure to listen those great trax again a couple of times :]]
